History of the blackjack game

Vingt-et-un (means "twenty-one") was Blackjack's progenitor, it started around 1700 in French casinos and didn’t offer extra 3:2 for a 2-card twenty-one. Having been first introduced in the US 21 wasn’t so popular, so that casino gambling houses introduced offering various extra payouts in order to draw the players to the card-tables. One of such extra payouts was 10-to-1, when the player concealed ace of spades and some black Jack in his hand (and it can be Jack of clubs or it can be Jack of spades). This hand took the name of "blackjack", which firmly entrenched though the extra payouts were soon abolished. While this casino game keeps on being played, a hand of "blackjack" may not certainly conceal any jack or any black cards whatsoever.
